Here, you're not a number.
You're someone we actually follow, class after class.
Before you sign up for anything, Roch â PRO1's founder â calls you back personally. A simple call to check in on where you're at, and see together if PRO1 is the right fit.

You've done CrossFit or Hyrox before. Hard work doesn't scare you. What you're looking for is a place that actually delivers. And you've probably already lived through one of these.
Maybe you know this scene. A group class, a good coach, a class that keeps getting bigger over the months. Fifteen people, then twenty, then twenty-five.
You get a "Good job!" on your way past, but never an actual cue. You sweat, you leave tired. But somewhere between the start and the end, nobody really looked at you.
Maybe that's what pushed you to train alone. At home, in an empty gym during off-hours. No more comparing yourself to anyone, no more waiting for a bar.
But no one to catch your form when it's off, either â and no one to push you on the day you'd have quit too soon.
Or maybe you took time off. Work, kids, an injury, a year that just slipped by. The urge to come back is there, but starting over alone, without even knowing where you actually stand today, holds you back.
PRO1 started as a private training service, and the method was refined across the full spectrum â from complete beginners who'd never touched a barbell, to elite athletes, including CrossFit Games competitors.
When the team opened its doors to group classes, they refused to water down what made the service work. That's how the PRO1 System came to be: a three-step method that keeps the same level of attention as private coaching, even in a group.

A coach looks at where you actually are, through basic gymnastics and weightlifting movements. Your real starting point, today, no assumptions.

From there, you get mobility and activation work specific to your condition, to get you balanced again â quickly and safely.

CrossFit or Hyrox, 12 people max, in a large space, with a coach who has the time to follow you, class after class. They adapt the movements to what your body can do today, and walk you through the techniques you haven't mastered yet.
The cap of twelve is what makes this third step possible. Past that number, a coach's attention gets diluted; at twelve and under, they can keep an eye on everyone, from the first class to the last.
And since there's no leaderboard on the wall, comparison stays at the door: your only benchmark is you.
"The coaches are great to help with technique and they are always available onsite.

Even a seasoned athlete goes through the PRO1 System. There's always a position to clean up, an imbalance to correct, a detail to gain. The system isn't trying to slot you into a category, it starts from where you are, and takes you further.

Roch Proteau was the first Quebecer to qualify for the CrossFit Games, then coached at the Games multiple times. He has prepared elite athletes, including Lucian Bute for a winning comeback toward a world boxing championship, and taught yoga and breathing to athletes like Georges St-Pierre. His real specialty, at its core: postural and neuromuscular rehabilitation. Reading a body, spotting what's off, and building from there.

Josée Bélanger is a kinesiologist, a graduate of Université de Sherbrooke, and an Olympic medallist in soccer. She makes sure every evaluation and prescription keeps you safe, no matter where you're starting from.

When someone actually watches you, training changes. It becomes something in your week you look forward to, instead of one more thing to squeeze in. You finally break through that movement that's been giving you trouble for months, you progress from where you actually are, in a group small enough for a coach to genuinely follow you. And training becomes yours again.

He is great at movement analysis and breaks down what you should do in really clear terms. I apply what he taught me every time I work out.

They're super friendly, highly professional, and always make me feel safe. They also take the time to explain everything we need to know before each workout.

" I'm probably too far from the shape I used to be in. "
That's exactly why you don't have to guess anything before you show up. That's the whole point of step one: a qualified coach finds out where you stand and adjusts your program starting from your very first class â and every one after.
" That's what every gym promises. "
You're right to be skeptical if you've already been sold that line in a packed room. Here, the difference comes down to a number you can check every single class: twelve, never more.
If what you're looking for is a place that actually takes care of you, wherever you're starting from, here's the logical next step: a call, before you even set foot in your first class. Roch calls you back personally, takes the time to understand where you're at and what you're looking for, and together you figure out if PRO1 is the right fit. That, in itself, is already the kind of attention you came here looking for.
No commitment. We'll answer your questions.
1. We reach out within 24 hours (excluding weekends)
2. We talk about where you're at and what you're looking for.
3. If you'd like, you can stop by to visit the gym or try a class. Either way, no pressure.

Move better. Feel strong. Live fully.
